Creating Space for
New Work

The dd.g collection invites early emerging artists to apply for its Artist in Residence Program in cooperation with Hotel Mazaggs. The residency offers a two-month period dedicated to artistic production, reflection, and exchange.
Participants are asked to outline in their application the project or body of work they intend to develop during their stay, and to describe how this process will contribute to their artistic growth. The program is designed to provide space, time, and resources for experimentation and focused creation.
Accommodation, meals, and a well equipped studio are provided by the dd.g collection. In addition, each artist receives a grant of € 5,000 as financial support for materials and personal expenses. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis throughout the year, and selections are made according to artistic quality, conceptual clarity, and the relevance of the proposed project.
The residency aims to foster meaningful artistic development and to build lasting relationships between artists, the collection, and the wider cultural community.

Guidelines

Application Process

Artists are invited to apply for the dd.g Artist in Residence Program on a rolling basis. The residency is open to early emerging artists working in all disciplines of contemporary art. Applicants should demonstrate a coherent artistic practice and a clear motivation for how the residency will support their creative development.

What to Submit

Please include the following materials in your application:

Project Proposal
A short description (max. 1,500 characters) outlining the work or project you intend to realise during the two-month residency, and how it relates to your ongoing artistic practice.
Artist Statement or CV
Brief biography including education, exhibitions, and relevant experience.
Portfolio
10–15 representative works (as a single PDF or external link).

Preferred Residency Period

Indicate your preferred two-month timeframe.

Full name, email, telephone, and current city of residence.
The dd.g collection provides accommodation, meals, and a well equipped studio at Hotel Mazaggs, as well as a € 5,000 grant to cover living and material costs.

Applications can be submitted at any time throughout the year. Selected candidates will be notified directly by the dd.g collection.
